This weeks card is case the designer week and we are casing the super talented and oh so lovely Shawn de Oliveria. Shawn is one of the super talented design team at the Global Design Project and I really recommend you pop over to his blog as he makes beautiful cards.
I am having so much fun using all my new supplies from the new annual Stampin Up catalogue. One of my new favourites is Jar of Love. It has so much potential as there are so many stamps and framelits in the bundle.
I embossed the background onto a Daffodil Delight Card base leaving a blank panel on the right for the sentiment.
I inked a piece of pool party cardstock with rich razzleberry ink and diecut the sunshine die cut from the new Sunshine Wishes Framelits. I added the ‘spread the’ sentiment from Jar of Love.
I stamped the glass jar onto acetate using White StazOn and added a layer of white card underneath which was watercoloured to give the effect of water in the jar.
I stamped and die cut the flowers in varying shades of Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry Ink (and crushed curry ink). And finally a little flourish of gold metallic thread around the neck of the jar and an enamel dot as the dot for the ‘i’.
Here is the sketch of the card from Shawn de Oliveira. Isn’t it beautiful?
I really hope you join us this week and make a card using the sketch and pop on over to the Global Design Project to add your entry using InLinkz. We love seeing what you make and 3 of the best are chosen each week.

Very pretty card! The Jar of Love set was the first one to catch my eye in the catalogue. Love how you used it!
Love it. I still don’t know how you pasted the acetate to the cardstock. This has been beautifully done. TFS
Thanks for the kind words, Michelle. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have been CASEd by you. Your work is so inspiring and thus card is no exception. I’m sure I’ll CASE it in some way soon. Hugs.
Oooh lovely – I haven’t looked at the Festive TIEF at all closely as I just assumed it was for Christmas (not ready to go there yet) but now I’ve seen your card hmmmm! And you just make me want to get the jars too! Damn You! ha ha ha
You don’t have the jars already? What are you thinking 😉
Wow!! Love the two toned sentiment. I must get this die set, why haven’t I already?! I love how you went wild with the colour scheme, so different from Shawn’s original, but kept the flower theme. Love it!
Thanks Paula, love the die cuts words they are a must have!
