This weeks challenge over at the Global Design Project is to case the designer and the designer is Steffi Helmschrott from Germany. Steffi has the most beautiful style and is also an Artisan Design team member for Stampin Up. That means she is on a team of fantastically talented crafters who make projects using Stampin Up supplies which the company use to share and promote its product range. Only one or two people to be Artisans from each country so its quite an accolade and also quite intimidating to case someone so talented.
But here is my entry using the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the Butterfly Thinlits.
I used the fluttering embossing folder to create the embossed butterfly background. I stamped a panel of very vanilla cardstock with stamps from the Butterfly basics stamp set in black in so that they were visible through the medium butterfly die cut from Butterfly thinlits.
I then stuck the intricate die cut butterfly in the centre across its body so that the wings were raised and show the stamping below.
It needed a pop of very vanilla along the edges so I added a strip of the border from the new Flourish Thinlits. I used the sentiment from Weather Together and the new punch called Classic Label.
Here is Steffi’s card which you have to case this week…

I love how textural your card is compared with Steffi’s, while still keeping the butterfly theme. Michelle, YOU should be on the Artisan team too!

I love the background behind your butterfly, so much nicer than just my blue painted one! I pinned your card for future inspiration as everything about it is amazing!
