This week at the Global Design Project we are casing the designer and the design team member we are casing is Tanja Kolar from Germany. I love Tanja and her beautiful crafting style so for me it was easy to be inspired by her card (see below).
It has been a while since I used my favourite stamp set, Jar of Love and when I have to make my Global Design Project I like to give myself some thinking time before get creating and this card idea came to me just as I was dropping off to sleep!
I wanted to use browns, golds and pinks and to use the flowers to create a border. I went through the catalogue looking for the right sentiment and when I found this sentiment from Layering Love I knew it would be perfect.
I really had to angle the card when I was photographing it so that the gold showed up and I also raised some of the flowers and leaves on dimensionals to give some texture and dimension to the card. I love it when a card in your mind really comes together as you hoped!
So this is Tanja’s card which inspired me to made the centre panel card, I used Tanja’s card as a sketch. I really like the case the designer challenges as you can really interpret their card in anyway you wish!
I really hope you join in this week and show us your version of Tanja’s card. Simply pop on over to the Global Design Project to see what the other design team members have made but also to upload your own projects.
