I promised more birds from the Best Birds set from Stampin’ Up! so here you go….
I love that saying, is that something you only hear in the UK? I used the woodland embossing folder again for the background and enhanced the tree trunks using the gorgeous grunge stamp set. I have a video to show you how to ink a raised embossed image here.
I die cut one of the birds using the Birds & Blooms Thinlits and then stamped the corresponding bird in stazon ink onto watercolour paper.
I coloured my little bird using hues of Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Soft Sky and Marina Mist and an Aqua Painter and because I used watercolour paper and stazon I could blend the colours till I was happy with the result. I needed to enhance his eye, so I used a sharpie to do that.
I positioned and adhered the bird behind the cut out and then stamped my saying using the Labeler Alphabet and cut around each word.
On the inside of the card it says ‘it’s your birthday’ from the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set. My class ladies had fun colouring in my class this month and were experts by the time they had finished all 3 cards 🙂
