Case the designer Bibi Cameron

This week at the Global Design Project we are casing the designer and the designer is my gorgeous team member Bibi Cameron!  If you have not visited Bibi’s blog before you are in for a real treat, she has wonderful video tutorials too!

What a talent she is, I really had to up my game this week and create something a little more fancy to try and do justice to Bibi’s card design.

I decided to use the same stamp set Sitting Here.  It is the first time these stamps have been inked up and I am wondering why I have not reached for them before!

I made my version of a diorama card which has several layers to it which means you can create depth and dimension.

I stamped and cut out the hanging bench/chair and coloured it using an aqua painter and early espresso ink.  I then stamped the cushions and sponged the edges to give the illusion of them being 3D.  I added a stamped panel to the back of the card and sponged a blue sky background and the large tree from lovely as a tree stamp set.

I cut the oval in the Sahara Sand Cardstock and curved the sentiment to fit the shape of the curve.  I love that you can do that with the photopolymer stamps.  I also sponged the edges of the Sahara Sand card base and added some flowers and a leaf or two from the Best Birds stamp set.

It stands up perfectly and looks so pretty, now off to make and envelope with my envelope punch board to sit it in as I don’t want to flatten it on posting!
