I am just back from a weekend in Amsterdam to celebrate the Stampin Up OnStage Local event. This is a 6 month event hosted by Stampin Up where we get to see the new seasonal catalogue and have fun together whilst celebrating our achievements over the last year.
It is great fun and we got to see what is coming in January which was so exciting but we also had the stampin up awards and recognition and I am honoured and humbled to say I have had an amazing year as did so many members of my team!
I have wonderful customers, an amazing talented team and as a result I was recognised in several categories of the annual awards including these two!
UK’s #1 Stampin Up Demonstrator
&
#3 in the Global 100
You might be wondering what that means and how I did that? Each year Stampin will evaluate our business in three areas – Sales, Recruiting and Leadership. Sales are all the lovely orders received from my customers, recruiting is the number of people who join me and buy the stampin up starter kit and stay active and leadership is keeping my team happy and motivated so that they promote and benefit from the incentives and rewards. I am truly humbled to be #2 in sales, recruiting and leadership but overall I earned the top spot as the UK’s #1 demonstrator. It is thanks to the continued support of my customers, team and their enthusiasm to share what we love that I have been able to earn this amazing title.
We also have a new award this year. It is the first time we have been able to compare sales, recruiting and leadership in all markets across the world. Altogether we are just under 50,000 demonstrators from US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Austria, Netherlands and the UK. Stampin Up announced its Global 100 demonstrators and I was in the list!
I honestly never expected to be in the list and as the names were announced as they counted down from 100 my heart was beating so fast expecting my name to be called at any minute. I listened and waited and when I had not been listed in 100-50 I honestly knew I would not hear my name.
I was so happy and delighted that my two team members Sarah Berry (#85 Global 100) and Sam Hammond (#19 Global 100) were both in the list and there was lots and lots of cheering as the names were called. When we got into the top 10 the names were being called, all demos who I have watched and followed over the last 9 years in awe.
We got into the top 5 and the anticipation was incredible and I nearly fell off my chair when my name was announced as #3!!!
I am truly humbled and oh so thankful to everyone who has played a part in my success. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The wonderful Angie Juda (aka Chic ‘n’ Scratch) was #2 and Mary Fish (aka Stampin Pretty) was #1.
Who knew that simply buying a kit of craft products for £99 would lead to this? It is my 9 year Anniversary today and it seems fitting that I share this post with you today.
If I can inspire anyone to step outside of their comfort zone and take an unknown journey and reap only a fraction of the experiences, friendships and rewards I have I would. Amazing things happen when you find your passion and I cannot ever imagine Stampin Up not being part of my life.
So forgive this wordy post but I am truly overwhelmed by the good wishes, messages and cards I have received.
Many congratulations Michelle on your awards. You are ‘so worth it ‘ as they say!
Here’s to the next 9 years.
Love Linda x
