Todays’ post I am sharing a simple card made with the Monochromatic/tone on tone effect. You may be wondering what it means to make a monochromatic card but it simply means to create something with one colour.
Its a great technique for someone with limited supplies so I hope you will give it a go yourself.
I used Dapper Denim and used the cardstock, ink and enamel dots all in the same colour. I stamped rows of the same image onto whisper white cardstock. You may be wondering how I got it straight so I have some photos to share using Stampin Up’s grid paper.
I secured my white cardstock using washi tape so that the darker line was in the centre so I could stamp the first stamped image in the centre and work outwards towards to the right and left.
I used the washi tape to make the straight line so I could stamp the image and follow the line.
I stamped the greeting and cut around the banner with scissors, you can get matching dies to cut around the banner but I wanted to keep the cost down for you.
Now its time to pop on over to Marine our new design team member to see what she has made using the monochromatic theme.
