For this weeks challenge over at the Global Design Project we have a sketch to inspire us. I wanted to make a Christmas Card as I am very aware that Christmas is looming and I have not shared or even made many Christmas cards this year!
I decided to use the heat embossed technique in white with some of the little images from Candy Cane Christmas onto the thick whisper white card. I then used a sponge dauber and Marina Mist ink to colour the background which means the heat embossed images really ‘pop’ off the card.
I also stamped the gaps with the holly and berries stamp from Snow Place. I used the sponge brayer to graduate the marina mist colour out towards the edge of the cardstock.
I stamped the greeting from Stitched with Cheer in Versamark and heat embossed in Silver and cut out using the tags and labels framelit dies.
A final flourish of bakers twine was all that was needed to finish off the card.
Here is the sketch, please join us in some creative therapy and join this weeks sketch challenge. Pop on over to the Global Design Project to see what the other design team members have made using the same sketch to be inspired and WOWed.
All the supplies I used are shown below. I recommend you order them quickly as they are bring retired and once the stock is sold out we won’t be able to get our hands on these stamps any longer.
If you place an order via my online shop (£20+) please use my monthly hostess code to receive a free thank you gift.
Have a great week. Operation Christmas shop has started this week for me – wish me luck!

It also looks like in the picture that you used a glitter????
Wonderful take on this set!

When I first saw this my jaw dropped! Love this Michelle. A fabulous take on what I thought was a hard sketch, but everyone has done such an awesome job this week. xo
