This week at the Global Design Project we are casing the designer Kylie Bertucci. Kylie Bertucci is one of the organisers of the fantastic Global Design Project and I am so thankful to work alongside her on this project, be sure to pop over to her blog to check out her latest work.
I have a get well soon card for you today but its a little different to normal but I LOVED making it 😉
Some of you might be squeamish about this card but as long as it doesn’t contain spiders I am fine! I bet some young boys and girls would love this card, I just loved the ‘bug’ reference.
I stamped a panel onto whisper white thick cardstock of insects using black ink and then stamped the bugs in bright colours. There are 32 stamps included in the Beetles & Bugs stamp set and which stamp correlates to each critter is shown on the cover so its easy to create your insects. I then added crystal effects to the larger beetles to make them look shiny and some heat embossed dots in silver to some of the others.
To create my own greeting I used the labeler alphabet stamp set and stamped and cut around each letter and added more crystal effects (or glossy accents or fine tip glue) to give them the shiny finish also.
Finally I added a strip of dapper denim cardstock to frame the stamping. Thank you for the inspiration Kylie Bertucci.
It is time to pop over to the other designers to see what they have made using Kylie’s card for inspiration, simply pop over to the Global Design Project and join our weekly creative challenge as we love to see what you have made!
