Mediterranean Moments from Stampin' Up!

I have a gorgeous coloured thank you card made using the Mediterranean Moments stamp set from Stampin’ Up! My husbands work colleague is from Spain and he kindly gave us a bottle of his cold pressed Olive Oil from his region in Spain.

I wanted to make a thank you card and the Mediterranean moments stamp set seemed a perfect fit.

I stamped the image onto watercolour paper and stitched around the edge onto early espresso card as I had my sewing machine handy. I then set about colouring the image with a combo of watercolour pencils and inks and the blender pen. Colouring really is very therapeutic and it really did not take long to get it coloured. I then added a heat embossed thanks sentiment from the thankful thoughts stamp set.

The last detail was to add the fine tip glue to the bench and the lamps to create a shine to those images only once the glue had dried.

The stamps in this set are so detailed and if you need some ideas on what colours to use when colouring them in doing a google image search as there are lots of examples for inspiration.
