I wanted to get my High Tide Stamp set inky for this weeks Global Design Project entry. It is a case the designer week and we are casing Louise Sharp. Louise is a super talented crafter who lies in Australia and is on the Stampin Up Artisan Design Team. I simply love her style and you must pop over to her blog.
I decided that the High Tide set needed a little grunging and totally she went for it with my sponge and timeless textures.
I inked the background onto very vanilla cardstock and sponged the sky with Pool Party and Marina Mist and then inked the edge with Smoky Slate around the edge.
I stamped the lighthouse in Dapper Denim Ink and added the shadow for the lighthouse with Basic Grey Ink. The sea was stamped in Marina Mist and Mint Macaroon Ink.
I cut a 2″ wide rectangle to make a tag and added a dapper denim circle and punched a hole in the centre and tied linen and gold thread through the hole.
I added a rectangle of gold foil cardstock as a mount to the card and then added it to a Pool Party card base.
So let me show you Louise’s original card which we are casing this week.
We would love you to join us and make something casing Louise’s card. Pop on over to the Global Design Project to see how to share your entry and see what the other design team members have created.
