I have a sneak peek of something coming in the new seasonal catalogue for you today. The stamp set is called Painted Harvest and you are going to LOVE it! We are celebrating our 100th challenge at the Global Design Project and we’d love you to join us this week and help us celebrate!
This week each design team member is making any card with no specific challenge and all you have to do it is to CASE (Copy and selectively edit) any card you wish. You can case more than one card and enter as many times as you wish.
At the end of the challenge on Sunday, each designer picks one person who CASE’d his/her card to receive that card and designer will post it to them.
One overall winner will be announced and will receive a small assortment of products. SO please join us this week and help us celebrate the Global Design Project.
Everyone loves a sunflower, they cannot help brighten your mood which is why I teamed this flower with a heartfelt message.
I made the card longer and thinner than a regular card. The front measures 10.5cm x 21cm which meant I did not have any standard envelopes to fit it. I could have used my envelope punch board to make an envelope but I decided to made a long thin envelope with a fancy closure with the matching designer series paper called Painted Autumn.
I heat embossed the ‘Sorry’ greeting to make it stand out and added the additional sentiment in early espresso ink. It is hard to see the lovely pop of gold so I took another photo from a different angle.
I heat embossed one of the wooden elements in gold and added some linen thread to give it some texture.
You may be wondering how I made the background look like burlap fabric. I simply stamped over the sunflowers with the burlap background stamp in crumb cake ink. It really gave the card a textured feel.
You are probably dying to see what is coming in the new seasonal catalogue which launches on 1st September. If you would like to reserve a paper copy of the new catalogue and for me to post it out to you towards the end of September simply fill out the contact form on the right where is says ‘Request a catalogue’.
All the products I used to make this card are shown below but the Painted Harvest stamp set and matching DSP will not be available till 1st Sept. Please use the monthly hostess code if you spend £20+ (and less than £150) to receive a free thank you gift from me.
