This month we are sharing projects made by inking up the clear blocks and stamping them to create a background for your card.
I originally wanted to use one large clear block but just wasn’t get the background effect I wanted so I reached for my clear block B and inked it up with smoky slate ink and spritzed it with water from the spritzer bottle.
I then stamped it on the watercolour card background and pressed hard to let the ink soak in and didn’t lift up the block right away, I let it sit for a while to make sure that the paper had soaked up the ink and water.
If you have excess water when you remove the block, simply dab away any excess with kitchen towel or tissue.
I stamped the same block in the same ink twice more to create three blocks on my background.
I them stamped three identical flowers from the flower shop stamp set and coloured with with Powder Pink and Flirty Flamingo ink and an aqua painter an stuck them on the blocks with a dimensional.
Finally I needed a greeting and die cut the hug using the Lovely Words Thinlit Dies and just snipped the ends of the word so it wasn’t encased in the circle.
A final addition of the glitter enamel dots and it was done!
I cannot wait to see the backgrounds the rest of the blog hoppers have created with clear blocks, lets go visit Frenchie and see her beautiful card.
