I am sure you know that we recently moved house and I left behind my beloved craft room. Within 24 hours of moving into the new house we had the old carpet up and started painting walls. The flooring guys were here laying a new floor and in 4 weeks I had a fully working office and craft room and I wondered if you fancied a crafty room tour?
I was fortunate to have designed a craft room in the last 4 years and have been able to come to the new house with tweaks and changes to make my office not only look beautiful but work for my Stampin’ Up business. I have my sister come and work with me once a week so it had to work for 2 people.
The room was lovely and light and bright and larger than my old craft room but it had 4 doors, a large window and a large radiator to work around.
I was inspired by Monica Gale who had created a wall of all her Stampin Up supplies using the Creations by Rod bespoke pdf units to house the Stampin’ Up! cardstock, ink pads, ink refills, marker pens, ribbon and punches and I really wanted to incorporate one into my room with separate zones for crafting and PC work as in the past I was very easily distracted by my computer whilst I was crafting.
I was able to bring along some of the units I had in my last craft room and the rest were either from IKEA or made bespoke to fit the space by my joiner Andy (AC Joinery UK).
All my craft items need to be within reach as I have learned that out of sight really is out of mind! I decided to go with a re-jig of colours and add some pink. It seems an obvious colour to add as my team are called the Pinkies but I am also going to add Grey and Navy.
It is a pleasure to start work each day and I am itching to have a whole day crafting with the TV on in the background and Pip asleep in the sunny spot.
I have a great view too; I can keep an eye on anyone coming into the courtyard and the beautiful tall tress swaying in the background.
There are still some finishing touches to add and I’ll share more once I its completely finished and I have added my new style ink pads and new coloured cardstock etc.
So enjoy my craft room tour and do let me know what you think, I love receiving your comments.
Just for reference the items I have in my craft room are –
- Desk (worktop) and drawer units are from Howdens

Oh wow Michelle, your craft room is absolutely stunning! Love the light and bright room and your grey and pink tinges, think you and Pip are going to be very comfy there xx
Wowzers
You ‘re a very lucky lady to have a fantastic room, food for thought when I move
Gosh that is rather beautiful Mrs. You deserve to be working in such a beautiful space because you are a beautiful lady. Now if I might add a creative suggestion? It needs a small wine fridge, with room for a couple of bottles for relaxing after all that work 😉
Love from me Cxx
That my sweet, is a wonderful idea. Although I am between the garage (drinks fridge) and the kitchen (food) as if I need any more excuses to eat and drink more!
Well that’s actually good because it means you have an opportunity for a little exercise to offset the wine consumption 😉 it’s a fab space – well done x
hahahahahahah WIN=WIN 🙂
