I simply love the texture and detail from the rose flower stamp in Healing Hugs from Stampin’ Up!
I made a square card using Healing Hugs from Stampin Up. The rose flower stamp has so much detail and you simply need to ink it up and then stamp it – BOOM done!
But I wanted to create a two tone colour effect so I inked up the flower using Powder Pink Ink and then applied a darker shade of ink using a dauber on just the areas where I wanted more shadow. I inked the dauber in blushing bride ink, especially around the edge of the petals just to make the image pop a little more.
The card base is Basic Grey cardstock and the mount is the Champagne Foil Sheets which give a really rosy glow to the finished card.
The greeting is from one of my new favourite stamp sets, Friendly Expressions which I stamped in Smoky Slate ink. I finished off with a metal leaf embellishment from the Leaves Trinkets.
Are you going on holiday and want a little crafting to take with you? The healing hugs stamp set is perfect as it has images and greetings so will a set of notecards, a few ink pads you could be creating lots of beautiful notecards whilst you are on holiday!
