The Dashing Deer is one of my favourite bundles from the Stampin’ Up! Seasonal Catalogue. It really is stunning and so easy to create stunning Christmas Cards and tags using the beautiful deer stamps and dies.
I made a simple card by simply die cutting the leaping deep onto a piece of crumb cake cardstock. I inked the edges with crumb cake ink to grunge it up a little and then heat embossed in gold the greeting from the Dashing Deer stamp set.
I backed the die cut with the Neutrals Designer Series paper, I chose Early Espresso Polka Dot which made the deer stand out against the crumb cake card.
The bow was made using a fork, have you tried the fork bow technique before? I have a video if you would like to try it?
The ribbon and backing cardstock are both Lovely Lipstick which is a lovely strong pinky/red rather than the traditional holly berry red traditionally used for Christmas projects.
So quick and simple but very effective and with one pack of the Neutrals Designer Series paper you could create so many variations!
