I have a super cute handmade backpack with matching notecards for you today using the Painted Seasons Designer Series paper which is free when you spend £45 on Stampin Up supplies during saleabration. Each backpack is made using one sheet of A4 cardstock and I simply used her photo with the measurements to make the backpack.
The backpack is covered it in pattered paper from the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper. You probably don’t recognise it as the paper is so lovely and bright and distinctive but in this version I chose use the gentler patterns and colours.
I have made more of these in other patterned papers and will share them with you in the coming weeks.
I was wondering what to put inside the little backpack when I had a brain wave (doesn’t happen often) and checked to see if our 3″ x 3″ square envelopes fit inside and they did! So I just cut some whisper white and made some notecards to fit inside the envelopes and decorated them!
I layered a square of patterned paper from the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper onto the front of the notecards and also to the flap of the 3×3″ square envelopes. I used the stamps and dies from the Well Said Bundle and some wooden elements and I love how they turned out!
I could have added straps to the back of the box to make it more like a backpack but I decided against it. I also added little magnets under the flap to keep the backpack closed. It was so easy to find out which cardstock and ink to use with this project by simply checking the back of the patterned paper pack as it lists all the colours included to create the designer series paper. It makes matching and coordinating your project so easy!
