Who is all ready for Mother’s Day? I have had this card ready for sometime as I designed it for a team weekend back in February using the Butterfly Gala Bundle. The card was inspired by a wonderful German Demo Anna Hofmann, you can see her blog post here.
It is a fancy fold card and I just love the way it opens and can be displayed. I used the free Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper which you can choose for FREE when you spend £45 but only till the end of the March so don’t miss out!
The Botanical Butterfly paper is lovely because it has coloured designs on one side and black and white designs on the other so its super versatile! I even covered the envelope flap to match.
How I made the Mother’s Day Card
I bet you are searching for the patten as I used in the Highland Heather?
I actually used the spotty black and white paper and coloured it using my sponge brayer the Highland Heather Ink, doesn’t it look great?
Check out Anna Hoffman’s blog post.
The butterflies on the front of the card are from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and coloured using Stampin’ Blends and Daubers.
The incredibly popular Butterfly Duet Punch still has not arrived back into stock yet and is due mid April onwards so for now it would mean hand cutting around the butterflies or using something else you have at home. I will update my blog when its back in stock so we sure to subscribe to my blog feed to be kept up to date.
Look how pretty the card is when you open it out! I love how it twists and that the writing and design are still the correct way up.
Orange and Purple are such a classic combination but one I’d honestly usually steer clear of but I think it works really well with just a pop of orange.
I have used the Well Said Bundle for the greeting and die cut words, absolutely one of my favourites and if you purchase it before the end of March you can choose free Sale-a-bration products including the paper with your qualifying purchase.
It is a fancy card Mother’s Day for someone very special (my mum of course). She so deserves it as she recently fell down the stairs and is in a bad way with a fractured neck and hand bless her. She is amazing though and each day she managed to do something new and not feel sorry for herself. A real inspiration to me.
Only a few more days to make the most of Sale-a-bration
Sale-a-bration is nearly over, you only have until 31st March to take advantage of the best offer of the year! For every £45 you spend you can choose one of the lovely free items. Why not stock up on some essentials or treat yourself?
All the items I used to make this card are shared below. Click any of the images below to go direct to that item in my online shop. Please use the monthly hostess code to receive a thank you gift for shopping with me.
