I promised I would share more of my card featuring the Free as a Bird Stamp set which launched in the new annual catalogue yesterday. Demonstrators have had their hands on this beautiful bundle of products for a while now as it was part of our pre-order and I really enjoyed creating this more detailed card.
From the front is looks pretty simple. The bird is stamped and coloured using Shimmer yardstick and an aqua painter. The greeting is stamped on to the coordinating Stitched Nested Label Dies and mounted onto the front of a card base featuring the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper.
But on the inside…..
Look at those gorgeous birds all lined up on the branch! Cuteness overload!
Basic Overview on making this card
I created a box card which when its opened has some dimension to if to enable you to create some depth. It is folded flat when closed so easy for posting but stands up perfectly and has the added little surprise inside.
I cut an aperture on the inside of the card base onto the whisper white cardstock. I cut a slightly smaller aperture using the Stitched Nested Label Dies and stuck it in place so that it was recessed.
The bird stamp was stamped onto glimmer cardstock and coloured with inks and an aqua painter and then fussy cut out. I stamped two flowers at the same time.
The back of the card is lined with another piece of the Bird Ballard Designer Series Paper and I stamped the greeting from Free as a bird.

I hope you love the free as a bird stamp set and gorgeous Bird Ballard Suite as much as I do. I think its going to be one of the most popular ones from the new catalogue.
