I had so much fun colouring in this flower image from the Bloom & Grow stamp set from our current annual catalogue . The matching dies cut really close around the stamped image leaving only a small white edge which makes the image really pop off the background.
I used the Stampin’ Up! alcohol markers to colour the flower stamp and really enjoyed spending time adding more colour to create depth and shadow.
I added the greeting to the front of the card by heat embossing onto vellum and cutting out a rectangle banner so that some of the stamped image was above the vellum and some was below. The greeting is also from the Bloom & Grow set. I like how the end is slightly curled and doesn’t lay flat.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to place the flowers on the card so I cut and coloured two and I am so pleased I did as I used the 2nd one to add a bit more interest on the inside of the card.
I love the enamel dots which give a pop of colour and some dimension and how the greeting is placed off centre.
Did you spot that the Smoky Slate background card stock has been embossed with the Subtle Embossing folder?. It adds such a lovely subtle texture with no need for stamping or further detail.
