Floral Handmade Card

I created this little floral handmade card using the Beautiful Friendship stamp set which is available from my Stampin’ up! shop.  It is a simple card base just scored in half with no layers other than the greeting.

I adore the images in the Beautiful Friendship stamp set as they are large and it is so easy to fill a background.  There is also depth and dimension too as the images have lighter and darker areas when stamped as it is a Distinktive Stamp.  If you’d like to know more about the Distinktive style of stamps you can watch this video from Stampin’ Up!

I wanted to not only add dimension but also add more than one colour on the large blue flower so I stamped the entire Flower with Seaside Spray Ink and then used my Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker to pick out some of the detail.  I wanted to blur the two colours so I spritzed the stamp with water from a fine mist spray before stamping onto my card stock.

The other flowers and leaves were stamped using Highland Heather and Soft Sea Foam Ink.  These are the kind of cards that once you have all the supplies to hand you might as well stamp several.  You can leave off the greeting and add it when the occasion arises.

I added the ‘forever’ word using Silver Foil and the Sweet Silhouette’s dies.  I needed to add some other words to go with forever so I used a greeting from the ‘A Wish For Everything’ stamp set.  I added a little Heart Epoxy Droplet to finish it off!

I stamped the greeting using versamark ink and heat embossed it in white onto Basic Grey cardstock and cut around it.
