Sweetly Swirled from Stampin’ Up!

I have a quick and simply card to share with you today using the Sweetly Swirled stamp set from our Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue.  The circles in the set can be used for so many things but for this card they reminded me of a decorate wreath and I just knew it would look great with a few flowers added.

The crushed curry yellow colour really pops against the Pool Party card stock.  I heat embossed the circles and used Silver Embossing powder to give them so texture and dimension.

TIP: Stamp the greeting on the inside of the swirled wreath first before adding the flowers stamps.  I did it the other way round at first and I could not get the greeting in the right place and it just looked weird.

The little flower and leaves are also include in the Sweetly Swirled Stamp Set and it is one of my favourite kinds of set as it includes greetings and images which means you can create a whole card using one stamp set.

I simply hand cut around the flowers and leaves and stuck them onto the card with dimensional to add more interest.

You would definitely want to use a Large Letter stamp to post this card as I raised the stamped rectangle panel as well as the flowers with dimensionals and then added some frosted droplets too!

Are you wondering what colour I stamped the greeting?  It is Pretty Peacock, one of the new In Colours.  The leaves are also stamped in this colour but are 2nd generation stamped (or stamped off) to get a lighter hue.

Great news too, the Purple Posy In Colour ink pad has now passed all the quality tests and will be available soon.  It is currently in manufacture and I will pop out an email to my customers via my newsletter when its available again.
