I have something bright and cheerful to brighten a dull day today. I have created a Birthday card suitable for young/old alike. I used the Broadway Birthday stamp set.
It is a new purchase as I held off buying it for sometime but that ‘wish’ die cut just keep calling my name. So now it’s mine expect to see more cards made using this really versatile set.
It is a great set as it has a combination of images and greeting and the greetings are large enough to be the main focus on the card so the accents or background can be smaller and take a backseat.
I simply used a piece of patterned paper for the background.
I added a wink of stella to the candle flame to add a bit of iridescence and sparkle.
The ‘wish’ die looked better laid onto a mat background so I reached for the stitched rectangle dies which are always a great addition with the stitching detail.
It is pouring here today, really miserable but perfect crafting weather. I might just pop out to Home Sense in the hope that most people are staying in the warm. I might need to make a wish when I get to the checkout! Wish me luck. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
