I wanted to share with you some handmade thank you cards I made for my team for all their help at my recent team event. There were over 70 people at our gathering and I am so thankful for so many of my team who stepped up and helped out to make our event successful.

I had 22 of these beauties to make and I used the gorgeous stitched shape framelits to cut the Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo cardstock rectangles.
I used a retired stamp set to heat emboss the greeting as it fit perfectly across the bottom of the flirty flamingo piece and said just what I wanted to say.
The greeting was stamped with versa mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Whilst the powder was still warm I sprinkled another layer of embossing powder over the top to create a thicker layer and more defined heat embossed greeting and heat set again.
You can do this again and again to get a deeper emboss as long as you work quickly.

I had some cards to make at the same time and used the beautiful Friendship stamp set in greys and pinks around the whisper white card base.
I had a ton of the wooden elements in stars and hearts which I added with a gold binder clip and finished with some ombre ribbon.
Most of the items were using up my retired elements and it felt good. We all have far too much stuff in our craft stash and we should really make a stack of cards and share some handmade kindness in the post.
To celebrate World Card Making Day, Stampin’ Up! demos across the world have been encourage to post out 50,000 cards collectively this week. Think of all that handmade goodness dropping through peoples letterboxes in the coming days and why not join us?
We all love a card just because and it’s the most special feeling to know that someone is thinking of you.
Let’s spread a little love this week…..
