I am sharing a card made for a special friend just because. Judging by the number of Christmas Cards I receive I fear that sending cards through the post is in decline. I promise to do my bit to send cards not only on special occasions such as Birthday, Christmas etc but also just because. Let’s show our friends how much we appreciate them!
This is quite a simple card with some colouring and fussy cutting. The stamps I used are from the Under my Umbrella Stamp Set. There is also a matching punch which punches out the umbrella shape.
I just the greeting and I will definitely be sending to my bestie just to let her know I a thinking of her.
I don’t make New Year resolutions as who needs to feel bad when they are broken but I do use New Year as a time to reflect on the last year and make some plans for the New Year and I decided that I was going to take some extra time to decorate the inside of the cards I make.
I am not sure why I keep hold of my Stampin’ Up! supplies so I have decided to use them up. The Gingham Patterned Paper for example. I have used a tiny strip on the outside of the card so I had lots left but I decided to use it to make the card extra special and use it to add a mount of the inside greeting.
I think it really makes the Friend card extra special…
The Under my Umbrella stamp set is great because it has greetings which can be used on the front of the card with a coordinating greeting for the inside of the card too!
I have so many favourites from the new Stampin’ Up! mini catalogue but this has to be one of my top 5 favourite stamp sets.
