I am sharing a cute card made using the Meerkat stamps which are free during Sale-A-bration with a £45 spend. They are such cute little creatures and make a really fun and whimsical card.
The ‘From All of Us’ greeting is perfect for this group of Meerkats and one of my fellow demonstrators cleverly coloured in the stamp in black to create a silhouette which makes them look like they are all look off into the distance.
It would be such a great card when you and your family have been to stay with friends/family and want to thank them for their hospitality.
I used the Stampin’ Blends Basic Black to colour the ground and Meerkats but the little faces were still showing through so I had to go over it a few times.
I then simply hand cut around the silhouettes.
I really enjoyed inking the background. I used Balmy Blue, Pacific Point and Night of Navy and blended each colour into the next using a sponge.
When you first begin you wonder how it will ever look like a nights sky but keep blending and adding more colour until they blend into one another.
I wanted to add a starry night so I added a little bleach (few drops) to water in a spritzer and sprayed over the inked background and let it dry.
Lastly I stamped the greeting.
