I’m excited to announce the launch of Your Creative Connection today; a bi-monthly creative showcase which will come to you on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. Your Creative Connection came together from a group of eight global friends wanting to give you a worldwide connection to creativity.

We hope to inspire you to connect with us as we share papercraft ideas using Stampin’ Up! products. Each showcase will have a theme, and we will ‘travel’ around the world to connect with our creative friends.
Our first theme is ‘Pleased as Punch‘ where we will be sharing creative projects using Stampin’ Up punches.

It seems apt that I share this card with you today as the original was made by my dear friend Jenni Pauli from Germany. She came to stay with me before Christmas and we spent a little time together in my craft room and she rustled up a card with this design. I fell in love with it instantly which inspired me to make it in different colours and add a little embossing for my recent team event. As she is also in the group of demonstrators sharing Your Creative Connection it was perfect to share it with you today!

I used Pool Party, Old Olive and Highland Heather (light and dark) Stampin’ Blends and the Colour Lifter on the flowers and umbrella to move a little of the colour to add some shading.
The embossing was created using the Bricks and Mortar Embossing folder which has bricks more defined that others which adds lovely texture and interest to your card.

The flowers have been fussy cut but there is a matching punch which punches out the Umbrella and handle from the Under My Umbrella set.
The little group of flowers on the base of the card are used to anchor the card closed. Isn’t that clever?

The gorgeous greeting stamps are from the Thanks For the Laughs stamp set in our mini catalogue. I hope you like it as much as I do.I am now going to send you on a tour round the world to see what the other members of Your Creative Connection have made using the Pleased as Punch theme which was chosen by Dawn Olchefske. There are 8 blogs to visit and you are sure to be inspired by the creativity shared from across the globe. Next up is our lovely Claire Daly from Australia – just click the NEXT icon below…..
Thank you for stopping by my blog today, I hope you enjoy hopping around and see the projects we have shared. We have created a wonderful community and amazing friendships all from our love of Stampin’ Up!
All the products I used to create my card are shared below. If you would like to place an order, click any of the images below to go direct to my online shop. And please remember to use the monthly hostess code. Have a great day!
