Today at Your Creative Connection Love is in the air!

We are sharing our creative projects with you on this inspiration tour with a theme of ‘Love is in the air’. Can you guess what I chose to use?

This project was a challenge as we are nearing the end of our current catalogues and items are selling out fast. We also do not know what Stampin’ Up! products the other tour ladies have used so I wonder if this set will be a popular choice?
I am a little ashamed to say that I have not inked the Above the Clouds stamp set up very much and in a few short days it will be gone for good as its on the retiring list and its discounted too! I guess you can say that this is its final encore before it leaves our catalogue.

I had so much fun creating the cloud background. I used the Pretty Label punch (which is also retiring) to use as a mask to create my clouds using Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue Ink.
I did experiment creating a cloud background with our sponges and our daubers and the daubers were my favourite as long as you use a light touch. I created a quick video to share with my team (the Pinkies) and thought it may also be useful for you to see a side by side comparison using different tools. I hope its useful for you too!
The white background needed to stand out a little more so I added it to the gingham check background from our Subtles Designer Series Paper 6×6″ stack and added a little gold clip to add some fun and to coordinate with the gold heat embossed hearts and greeting.

I had some inked cloud background leftover so I added that to the inside. It’s so nice to make the inside of the card pretty too!
Did you notice I raised the baskets for the balloon on dimensionals and added three pieces of linen thread to attach the basket. It was fiddly but worth it.
It is time to take the tour onto our next inspiring blog to see what project Claire has made using the ‘Love is in the Air’ theme. Click the next button below to take the tour….
