I am sharing my latest make with you today for the creative share with Your Creative Connection. This week our theme is Something Old, Something New.

So I have used something brand new from the annual catalogue and something that has carried over. The Jar of Flowers stamp set is a brand new set that has been sat on my desk waiting to be inked so it was the perfect time to use it.

I paired it with the So Sentimental Stamp set as it contains large greetings and has a matching die set which cut out a stitched shape around the greetings. I am delighted that this set carried over as all the dies are all stitched and I am a sucker for anything stitched.
You may have been expecting a ‘Jar of Flowers’ but I decided to stamp one of the flower images 4 times (in North, East, South & West positions) to create a floral wreath. It meant I had to make a square card to fit the flowers onto the card front.

I roughly coloured the flowers using Stampin’ Blends but made sure not to blend the different colours so give it a watercoloured effect rather than a blended and coloured image.

I heat embossed the greeting in white embossing powder and raised it up with dimensionals.
I bet you’d like to see what the other Your Creative Connection participants have made and I’m excited to see some old and new combinations. Next up is Claire on our Inspiration Tour. Click the next button below to see what she has created.
