Today I am sharing my first Christmas Card which was created with the beautiful In the Pines stamp set. I love trees and made a card similar to one I created previously which you can see HERE.

I stamped my trees on crumb cake cardstock and layered up the tree outline and the leaf detail using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Garden Green Ink. The stamp set is photopolymer which makes lining up the images really simple.

What I love about the In the Pines stamp set is that you have lots of choice! You can stamp one large tree, a clump of smaller trees, a traditional looking Christmas tree, two sized tree trunks as well as a dotty stamp to resemble snow and some lines to mimic the ground.
Did you spot the beautiful Peace die cut? It is from the Joy dies in our mini catalogue and I due cut it in gold foil but to make it have extra dimension I stuck a piece of foam adhesive sheet to the underside of the gold foil (it has double sided adhesive) and ran it through my die cutter to cut out the word peace with added depth and dimension. It makes sticking down thin die cuts a dream too as you simply peel off the backing paper and secure in place!

I stamped the inside too to make it just as pretty and added one of the gold star embellishments (from the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley) to one tree as I had done the same on the front.
The ‘on earth’ sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set which comes as a bundle with the Joy Dies. As always Stampin’ Up! do all the coordination for you and you simply get to create beautiful things.

And finally this card is longer than my usual style card. It measures 21.5 x 10cm and is two pieces of Soft Suede cardstock attached together with an extra flap of card. All the items I used to create this card are shared below.

I hope its not too soon to be sharing Christmas projects 😉
I remember that Wonderland one: lovely! The new idea of the diecut sentiment in gold foil on foam is better than the old one on vellum, though.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this slimline card! Christmas is coming and this would make such a wonderful card to send and receive. TFS!
