Who doesn’t love a good wreath? I did not originally purchase the Arrange a Wreath bundle when the new catalogue launched but I saw some beautiful samples which tempted me to buy the Wreath Builder Dies and boy I am glad I did.
I sat down to craft and cut out the flowers from the Wreath Builder Dies in Vellum and arranged them on a gold hoop with some of the leaves cut out from the die set in Soft Seafoam cardstock and there it sat on my desk for a few weeks. I just did not know how to make it into a complete card.
As the hoop itself was small I needed to mount it onto another layer as it looked a little lost on a card front on its own and I think the scallop edge adds another delicate touch.
So many of us are missing loved ones so it seemed fitting to make it into a card for a special friend who I haven’t hugged in quite some time.
The greeting is from Lovely You and I heat embossed it in gold to pick up the gilded gems and the hoop.
To attach a length of ribbon around the hoop I cut a little slot out of my crumb cake background using the Label Me Fancy punch. It worked a treat and I just has to secure the ends of the ribbon on the back
I also embossed the background of the whisper white card with the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder to add another layer of texture and I love how it turned out.
Fast forward another couple of weeks and I had an event looming called OnStage@Home which was hosted by Stampin’ Up! where lots of demo gathered together to celebrate our annual achievements and also get excited for the new mini catalogue which launches in January. I needed to make team gifts and this little wreath was sitting on my desk just begging to be used.
We always have lots of notes to write to I added it to a notebook and heat embossed the greeting from the Blossoms in Bloom as it was perfect.
I had to send 6 of these little beauties in the post along with a personalised mug, sweet treats and our team name on a flag.
Isn’t it funny how one little idea can turn into something so pretty but also so useful!
All the items I used to create both projects is shared below. If you do place an order with me (please know that I would be delighted) please use my monthly hostess code when spending £20+ (and less then £150) to receive a free thank you card and gift for shopping with me.
