I created this butterfly pop up card for my team event in The Netherlands in May and am sharing it with my UK team this weekend. I am in Birmingham enjoying a team crafting weekend. It is my favourite team event where we get to hang out for 2-3 days, crafting, shopping, having meals out together and simply enjoying crafting with the loveliest people.
Upon first look, the card is pretty unassuming but when you pull the inside layer…….. it pops up and opens to reveal beautiful butterfly die cuts.
I saw a wonderful tutorial from Vy Tran on a pop up card but changed up the supplies used to incorporate the Perfectly Pencilled patterned paper and the brilliant wings dies. As you pull the ribbon, the card opens up…
and reveals the inside and the butterflies from the Brilliant Wings dies.

It is complicated to make a pop up but I persevered and was so happy I did. Wish me luck because right about now I will be showing 40 of my team how to make their own!
I love the Perfectly Pencilled patterned paper which is black and white but I coloured mine using Stampin’ Blends which gives it a completely different look.
