I have a lovely technique to share with you today. It is called Marbling and can be done with your Alcohol Markers and Isopropyl Alcohol. I created the pretty green swirly backgrounds on the three cards below using the marbling technique, come and see how I did it…
To try the Marbling effect for yourself, you will need the following –
- Adhesive Sheet
- White Cardstock159173
- Isopophyl Alchohol (99%)
- Alcohol Markers in 3 or 4 different colours/shades (I used Stampin’ Blends)
I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut out three circles from the marbled A5 piece of vellum which I embossed and decorated and added to my card fronts. I have shared a close up of each card below and listed all the products used to decorate my marbled circles, be warned, it is quite a list as I wanted each card to be different.
Be warned though, some of the items I used will be going into the Last Chance Sale on 1st December so if you love anything I have used order it quickly to avoid disappointment.
I heat embossed the greeting in gold and stamped on the circle of the white card using the trees from the Peaceful Deer stamp set.
I used three different embossing folders, which one do you prefer?
And of course I made the inside look as pretty as the outside. I so enjoyed sharing the marbling technique with you. I hope you give it a try yourself and love the results.
As promised here is a list of the products I used to make all three cards. The Just Jade marker is now retired so I have suggested the Shaded Spruce colour in the product list instead. Get them whilst you can as some are retiring from our current mini catalogue and will be in the Last Chance Sale on 1st December.
