Cottage Garden Scrapbook Page

This makes me happy.  I have not scrapbooked for ages and I have so many scrapbooking supplies that I sometimes find it hard to scrapbook with Stampin Up only but I did it and I love it :-)  I have since gone and scrapbooked some more and I love that I am scrapbooking again.

I have loads of photo#s of this layout as it is hard to see all the detail –

This is the word Amy stamped with the Jumble Alphabet and can you see the pearls, there are lots of pearls in this layout 🙂

I used the Love Letter paper which has this black swirl/flower design on the paper already so it was really easy to add my own flowers and pearls.  I made the flowers with the cottage garden set and the newsprint DSP and I will be showing how I made these in the next couple of days.  I used the tint pearls to make some swirls to add some detail to the page.

I used the Curly Label Punch and a white pen to add the date.

I made some hidden journalling behind the photo and created a hinge using two of the round tab punches.

I used a pattern from the Love Letter paper and then stamped using Cottage Garden to tie the design in.  Not sure if you noticed but I stamped the sentiment on the photo with Black Staz On and added a flower with a dimensional so that I could wind the linen thread around the flower to keep the photo closed.

But the best bit is the end of the linen thread.  When I made this layout and secured a piece of linen thread behind the hidden journalling I wanted to add something to finish the bottom of the thread.  So my solution was GENIUS {smile} I sandwiched the thread with two half pearls.  I nearly fell off my chair when I did this – I know little things please little minds!!
