Easter Bunny

March 9, 2023 By Michelle Last

It is time to begin thinking of Easter, if you have not already succumbed to the barrage of Easter treats in the supermarkets already. I have the cutest Easter Bunny for you created with the stamp set and matching Easter Bunny punch.

I had fun with this card and wanted to try a create idea of the card base which I saw the amazing Bibi Cameron create. It is easy to create, you simply make an angled cut in the front flap of the card base and secure the two pieces with the focal stamped image, in this case the Easter Bunny. You then trim off the excess of the card front so that the base is level – easy!

card made with an bunny punch

I re-discovered my Cottage Wreaths stamp set and have not been able to stop using it, you can see the other project I shared HERE. I will share step by step how I made the whole card below.

How I made the Easter Bunny Wreath Card

  • I used a decorate mask to create the background. The one I used is retired but we have lots of others to choose from. Place it over the card front (before you have cut it) and using a blending brush add ink to the card front. I used Soft Suede Ink and added a dot of white in the centre using a blending brush and whisper white ink.
  • Cut your card front at an angle. Position your cut so that a focal point of the card will sit centrally on the front of your card.
  • Die cut TWO scallop circles in Granny Apple Green cardstock and a nesting white circle from the Layering Circles Dies (ensuring that the wreath sits nicely in the white circle).
  • Stamp the wreath from the Cottage Wreath stamp set onto basic white cardstock using Pear Pizzazz ink and die cut.
  • Stamp the Easter Bunny in Basic Grey ink and colour with Stampin’ Blends.
  • Punch out the bunny or cut around using scissors.
  • Stamp 5 carrots with Basic Grey ink and colour with Stampin’ Blends then cut out with scissors (there isn’t a punch for these).
  • Heat Emboss your greeting from the Easter Bunny stamp set onto Basic Black cardstock and white heat embossing powder and cut around.
  • Glue your greeting to the correct position on the wreath.
  • Pop your easter bunny through the centre of the wreath and add your carrots and stick in place.
  • Stick the bunny wreath to the front of the circle using dimensionals.
  • Stick the top part of the scallop circle to the top of the card front which has been angle cut. Ensure you do not get glue on the inside of the card.
  • Position the angle cut piece of the card front approx 1″ below the top piece making sure the left and right edges line up perfectly.
  • Stick the bottom of the scallop circle to the bottom front of the card.
  • Open up the card and add the 2nd scalloped circle over the inside to match up perfectly.
  • Trim off the excess of the base of the card.
  • Add an insert to the inside of your card if desired.

The Easter bunny is adorable and can be used for other occasions. It would be perfect for a baby card too and definitely one to add to your collection. The punch is out of stock at the moment but you can easily cut around the bunny until the punch is back in stock. I shared all the items I used to create this card below which are all available from my online shop.

Please use the monthly hostess code (shared on my website), when you place an order via my online shop to receive a free thank you card and gift (when spending £20+). I really do appreciate your order.

Please get in touch if there is anything I can help with, have a great day x

    Hi Michelle
I haven’t got any Easter stamps as I don’t usually send them to people. I have joined United in Kind Brentwood and gave them my Christmas cards last Christmas. The next date for cards will be Easter hence my ordering the Bunny stamps that you showed on your email. The will be distributed with a small gift to vulnerable and lonely people in the area.
I don’t order very much these days but I appreciate that you keep in touch with me.

    Enid xx

Interactive Mini Album I've been busy behind the Interactive Mini Album

I've been busy behind the scenes creating a special mini album for my team retreat this weekend. I can't wait to spend time with my wonderful team—being creative together, sharing lots of laughs and making this beautiful keepsake. If you've followed me for a while, you'll know I have a real love for mini albums. They're one of my favourite ways to preserve memories because they tell a story that's far bigger than a single scrapbook page....
