I have another card for you using the Vintage Tools set, this time I made it for all the Dads with Fathers Day just around the corner. But guess what? The stamp set has sold out already and is now retired. Thanks to everyone who purchased it before it was too late.

I shared a super simple mens card using the Vintage Tools stamp set HERE if you’d like more inspiration using this set. This time I went a little fancier by adding ‘Dad’ and a fussy cut set of pilers and a little distressing for a Fathers Day card, which is your favourite?
How I made a card for Fathers Day
- I stamped a piece of white cardstock using black memento ink and distressed the edges with the blade of a pair of scissors and adhered it to a basic gray card base.
- I stamped the pliers on a scrap piece of white cardstock and fussy cut around them.
- I added adhesive backed studs to all the stamped pliers.
- I cut two die cut label shapes from the Something Fancy Dies and embossed the smaller shape with the metal plate embossing folder.
- I cut a piece of patterned paper with a small pattern on it from the Ready to Ride Patterned Paper (large enough to fit the letters to spell Dad) and mounted it onto a piece of foam adhesive sheet. I then die cut the letters to spell Dad from the Alphabet a la Mode dies, which give depth and an adhesive base to stick in place.
- I added the word DAD to the labels and added dimensionals on the underside. I could then loop the silver trim underneath securing with the dimensionals and sticking to the front of my card.
- Finally I added the fussy cut pliers to the front with dimensionals.

I love the shading on the images, it gives them such a realistic feel which works with a monochromatic theme. I have made my card specifically for Fathers Day but you could make it for so many different occasions and people in your life.
