I love this time of year! Easter is the perfect time for a Spring clean and to bring the outside in. If you love crafting, creating your own home décor using Stampin’ Up! supplies is a beautiful way to celebrate the season while adding a personal, heartfelt touch.
Today, I’m sharing a sweet Easter table decor idea created using Stampin’ Up products—an adorable handmade Easter basket filled with eggs and daffodils! Come and take a look….
These adorable Easter Baskets are super easy to make with the Easter Basket Dies from Stampin’ Up. They are a great size too and perfect for table decor, tags & cards.
To Create the basket
- Die cut two baskets in Basic White cardstock
- Die cut the woven strips in Basic White cardstock
- Thread the woven strips through the basket, alternating with each strip. Glue in place and trim off any excess
- Die cut the scallop to add to the rim of the basket on both sides using dimensionals
- Cut a strip of Basic White Card to measure 13 x 3cm and score at 5.5 & 11cm. Add glue the 1.5cm to piece and stick to the inside of the other end of the strip. This gives the basket some width and dimension so it can stand if needed.
- Add your coloured eggs and daffodils to the front and back of the paper ring you have created. Stick at varying heights.
- Stick the basket dies to the front and back of the ring
Quick Tip #1
I have not one but two tips for you today. Did you notice the eggs? I love how subtle and gentle the ink blending is and I wanted to share how I created them. It is super simple but I much prefer to ink blend a piece of rough cardstock and then position the die cut on the ink blending and die cut it to get an even spread of ink across the die cut.
When you try and ink blend a die cut with a blending brush you get a harsh line around the edge of the die cut with uneven colour distribution. Not to mention inky fingers!
I used a crumb cake marker pen to add random dots to the eggs to add more interest and detail.
