I have made a cute card using the Hello Cupcake stamp set which is free during sale-a-bration during our amazing promotion, Saleabration!
Who doesn’t love a cupcake, especially on their Birthday? I made this one to look like a real cupcake with frosting.
The Hello Cupcake stamp set is a really versatile set which contains 10 photopolymer stamps. You can go simple or a little more fancy and it has some great greetings included in the set too!
I have not really got experimental with my embossing paste but it seemed to me to look like cream cheese frosting.
This is how I made the Cupcake Card
- Dry emboss a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock with the Corrugated Embossing Folder and cut off a strip to layer behind the spotty patterned paper.
- Heat emboss the greeting onto crumb cake card using white embossing powder and add a flag shape at each end.
- Stamp the cupcake base in blushing bride ink. I stamped the top part of the cup cake in crumb cake ink.
- Die cut a stitched circle around the cupcake and cut out a coordinating scallop circle which nested behind the circle.
- Using the palette knife, spread the embossing paste thickly to add texture and dimension. Stick inside the lines of the crumb cake stamped image but make sure that you cover the stamped lines completely.
- Set aside to dry, overnight if possible.
- Stick the frosted flower embellishment onto the frosting with a glue dot.
- Stick the cupcake and greeting to the card front with dimensionals.
I used the shimmery white texture paste but whilst the paste is wet you can also sprinkle with glitter or even sequins to give the effect of hundreds and thousands.
