I have a beauty of a card to share with you today using the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder. These embossing folders are a new style and design. Not only are the folders a large format at 6 x 6.25″ but they give a super deep emboss AND there are matching dies that nestle into the embossing folder so that by adding your cardstock and running ONCE through your die cutting machine you get a beautiful die cut AND embossed image.

Isn’t the clever? You can use the embossing folder just like a regular embossing folder and emboss only or just use the dies and die cut leaves or cut around the stamps but when you combine both dies AND embossing folder you get perfectly die cut shapes with embossed detail.

I love the white and silver tone, it really gives elegant vibes which is perfect for an anniversary, wedding, engagement or even a condolence card. I made several of these cards and sent them to my customers as a thank you for ordering with me in June.

I created a fun fold card and have shared the measurements and a quick how to below –
How to create an angled tri-fold card
- Cut your base cardstock to measure 15 x 28cm
- Score (with the long edge along the top or bottom of the trimmer) at 8.5 & 19cm
- Mark the front panel with a pencil (8.5 x 15cm) at 4.5cm from the scored line on the top and bottom edge.
- Mark the front panel with a pencil (8.5 x 15cm) at the mid point of 7.5cm (along the 15cm edge)
- Line up the pencil marks in the trimmer and cut to make a > shape
- Emboss the panel that measures 9 x 15cm.
- Depending on how you fold the card will depend on whether the embossed or de-bossed side of the cardstock is facing the front of the card.
- Decorate the front and inside of your card

I made another sample using Pool Party cardstock and this is showing the embossed side facing UP.

The inside of the card is shared above and you can see the de-bossed side of the embossing. Both beautiful but you can choose which you prefer. Then all you need to do is decorate the front with the extra beautiful die cut leaves which are included in the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder & Die Set.

The sentiment is from the Everyday Greetings stamp set. I used Petal Pink, White, Night of Navy and Vellum for the details on this card front. The Changing Leaves bundle is from our Online Exclusive range so you won’t have seen this bundle in out annual catalogue. You need to view the Stampin’ Up Online shop to see lots of extra products we sell which are shared online only. There are no guaranteed stock time frames like you have in a catalogue so if you see it and need it, it’s best to get it whilst you can in case it is not re-stocked. Our Online Exclusives range has new products launched every March, July and November to customers.
So which one is your favourite? White or Pool Party? I have been busy making with this bundle and have more cards to share soon. If you’d like to know what I have used to make these cards, I have listed all the supplies below. Click any of the items to see it in my online shop and please remember to use the monthly hostess code when shopping with me online (shared on my blog and updated each month). Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely rest of your week!
