Made with Love from Stampin’ Up! for the Global Design Project

September 21, 2015 By Michelle Last

Hi everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.  I am here to share my weekly challenge card for the Global Design Project.  It is our third challenge and I have been amazed by how many of you have joined in the challenges.  It is wonderful to see what you have created with the same sketch or colour scheme and I have been blown away by your creativity.

The theme for this week is a baby card.  I went straight for my favourite stamp set Made with Love and decided to try out a fancy masked background.  The white bunny did not show up enough on the Soft Sky card stock so I then heat embossed the bunny with white embossing powder….

Made with Love baby card from Stampin' Up!

…do not try this at home 🙂 Let me tell you it was time consuming and without the wonderful Stamp-a-majig and post-it notes, I would have been up a creek without a paddle!

I inked around the edges with Marina Mist Ink to make the edges stand out a little more and then stamped and hand cut the bunny to add to the die cut tag (which was also embossed) and added my sentiment.

You must think I have too much time on my hands but sometimes a card idea just rumbles around my head until I try it and I just needed to try the stamped/masked  background.  I did make another using the same technique but I will share this one tomorrow for fear of overloading you!

So this is the challenge for this week –

GDP#003 Global Design Project

That’s right, simply make anything with a baby theme.  You have till Saturday to make your project and then post it here Global Design Project GDP#003

These are the products I used to make my card, simply click any of the images below to go direct to my online shop.  And don’t forget to use the hostess code to get a free thank you gift from me.

Interactive Mini Album I've been busy behind the Interactive Mini Album

I've been busy behind the scenes creating a special mini album for my team retreat this weekend. I can't wait to spend time with my wonderful team—being creative together, sharing lots of laughs and making this beautiful keepsake. If you've followed me for a while, you'll know I have a real love for mini albums. They're one of my favourite ways to preserve memories because they tell a story that's far bigger than a single scrapbook page....
