I had a lovely weekend altering our advent calendar. I was a terrible mum this year and didn't buy the usual chocolate filled advent calendars for my kids as I thought this wooden one with treats inside would be good enough. How wrong I was, the kids were really dissapointed and we spent an evening driving round the local shops on 1st December looking for choccie advent calendars to no avail. Sorry kids – I promise to be more organised next year.
We have this lovely wooden advent calendar but as much as I loved it I had always longed for the time to be able to alter it and customise it, well this weekend, as well as going out Friday and Saturday evening and needing to make ALL my Christmas cards and go presetnt shopping I found the time to do it 🙂
Here is the before photo – (perfectly acceptable but just needing a little something I thought)
And here it is all altered. Perhaps not to everyone's taste but I love it
Now for the Christmas cards!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by…….

Michelle – I do like the original version – however your altering has made it more up-to-date and funky – totally love it!

We have a wall hanging sort of patchwork one and I buy the choccie Santa’s and money and pop them in the pocket each day its summer here in NZ so they would melt if I filled all of them or get eaten!!!!!
