I know you think I have been sitting in the garden with a large cocktail these last few weeks but I promise I haven't…………..
I have lots of birthdays at this time of year and this year there are some extra special celebrations. My friend Steph celebrated her 50th birthday and I could not resist making her an extra special card for her and daises are her favourite flower.
So I set to work….
The inside of the card was busy so I did not want to make the outside too fussy. The sahara sand rectangle was given some texture with the texture wheel and also a spritz or two with the gold shimmer mist. I punched a circle in the crumb cake and pool party and raised it up with dimensionals so there was a recess. I die cut the daises #2 die and also some flowers from the blossom party die from the Spring mini and a punch from boho blossoms and raised them around the edge of the circle. The '50' is from the Timeless type junior alphabet die which has capitals, lowercase and numbers and a perfect size for cards.
I then went crazy on the inside……
I created a fancy edge with the adorning accents edgelit dies (£8.95 for 2) which are in the summer mini catalogue and available to purhcase till the end of August.
I used my diagonal plate in the scoreboard (which is also availble till the end of August) to create a trellis pattern for my daisies to grow along.
A variety of buttons, glitter brads, brads and daffodil delight and crystal effects adorned the center of the flowers which were all raised up with dimensionals. I also used the little leaves die (£4.95) in certainly celery and pear pizzazz to add some greenery.
I chose a sentiment from the friends wheel for the left hand part of the card and the happy birthday sentiment from Happiest Birthday Wishes ( A hostess set).
And lastly I needed an envelope which could hold a thick card so I made my own!! The simply scored tool along with the diagonal plate and brilliant instructions made it easy to make, all tied with an old olive satin bow, what more can a girl want??
So we off for a spa day on Sunday to celebrate, hope you liked the card
Have a good week
Love
