Stampin Up Quarterly Team Event/Craft Day

I am so sorry for my lack of blogging, I will reward your patience with some lovely photo's but am hoping for more so check back soon.

Sunday was our quarterly team training event which is held in Bicester and we spend a whole day sharing ideas, swapping cards and ideas, watching demo's and making things. 

There were 30 of us all together and a good mix of demo's and customers.  I know you will think I am biased but we have a lovely team of Pink ladies (and Pink Lad – yes we have a gentleman on our team) and we had such a great day and saw some wonderful demonstrations.  The raffle was huge and there was over £500 worth of prizes and most of the attendees won at least one prize.

All the photo's I took on the day came out blurred, I think because I was tearing around at break neck speed most of the day so if anyone has some photo's of the day I would love you to email me.

Here are ones that I took of the make and take projects we completed.

I adore the new patterned papers from Stampin Up and they are so much better in the flesh.  Everyone got approx £18 worth of supplies in their kit for coming along and you could choose your favourite design of patterned paper.  I chose Play Date and we used the gorgeous new level 2 stamp set 'Cute by the Inch' to decorate the mini cards/tags.  Someone also commented that this project would make a great dog kennel and with Stampin Ups new doggy paw print wheel stamp I think they would be so cute together – if only there was enough hours in the day for me to make all the ideas buzzing around my head!!

The second make and take was this itty bitty photo album/brag book (why call it a mini album when you can give it a ridiculously long name :-))

Cute paper again, Play Date coupled with the stunning 1/8" taffeta ribbon.

And then finally a candle holder.  I wanted to give all the guests a little gift for coming along and had bought some yankee candle tealights which smell divine so I made a candle box as my swap.  I was so happy with it I made it into one of the make and takes and they all looked so lovely made using the different style of patterned paper.

I used the new satin ribbon to finish it off and stamped the hello sentiment from the Hello, you stamp set which we also got in our kits along with half a pack of 12×12 smooth card stock in the colour family of your choice. 

Four of the demo's did a demonstration at our Inspiration Stations and showed us some great techniques.  Thank you to Jane, Jenny, Andy and Sue for all their hard work, here are some blurred photo's of their projects.

This was Sue's display of all the lovely things she made using Vintage Vogue, she demoed the heat and stick powder and the glitter but unfortunately that photo came out blurred 🙁

Jenny used Dasher and created a shadow and then used the antlers as a border (border was on another sample – brilliant!

And Jane's demo looked like real metal but I must have been laughing whenever I took a photo of her stand as they are ALL blurred.  I hope that she will send me some photo's soon so will post some photo's then.

People travelled from far and wide and I really appreciate all the effort everyone went to, it was so nice to spend sometime with everyone and meet some for the first time too.
