Two-Tone Flora or Stippled Blossoms

May 15, 2023 By Michelle Last

I am sharing a card with you today but the stamp set I used may look familiar! Back in 2015 we had a stamp set called Stippled Blossoms which was a beautiful two-step stamping set, you can see my blog post HERE. It was much loved and there was much outcry when it was retired. Fast forward to 8 years later and we have a brand new set called Two Tone Flora which is another two step stamp set and has a similar flower. What do you think?

I remember back in the day using a stamp-a-majig to line up the two stamps to get a good overlay with the stamps but now we have photopolymer stamps. lining up the Two Tone Flora set is soooooo easy. You simply use the centre of the flower as your guide and then line up the outer petals, it works a treat every time.

Stamped card using a two step stamp set from Stampin Up

I wanted to make a quick card for a friend who is having a hard time and this card fit the bill. The sentiment is from the Happy Labels stamp set which has been heat embossed onto Kraft cardstock and cut around. But whilst I had the Two Tone Flora stamp set on my desk, I could not stop there…..

I loved the colour combination of Bubble Bath (the lighter lilac pink colour) and one of the new In Colours Moody Mauve for the flower. The card base and greeting strip are also Moody Mauve couple with crumb cake. But I could not stop there….

This one was my favourite. I stamped off the stamps on grid paper before stamping on my card to get a lighter shade of Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve. I love how delicate it is. The leaves were stamped in crumb cake and the greeting is from Good Feelings and has been heat embossed in gold.

All three card were created with just three ink pads, so which one is your favourite? I am going to try some other colour combinations the next time I am crafting and will report back.

I have listed all the supplies I have used to create all three cards. Please pop over to my online shop to place an order if you are tempted by any of these products and please remember to use the monthly hostess code.

I am off on the Stampin’ Up Incentive trip on Sunday on a Norwegian Fjords Cruise so best to get any orders in now before I leave in case you need my help.
Have a great week xx

Greetings from Canada! I saved a picture of a banner you made with a wreath, Merry Christmas and bow. Do you have a tutorial for it? I have the stamps for the letter tickets and the punch but wondered which stamps you used for the wreath. Looking forward to following your blog.
Thank you for your assistance. Shirley Kedzierski

Interactive Mini Album I've been busy behind the Interactive Mini Album

I've been busy behind the scenes creating a special mini album for my team retreat this weekend. I can't wait to spend time with my wonderful team—being creative together, sharing lots of laughs and making this beautiful keepsake. If you've followed me for a while, you'll know I have a real love for mini albums. They're one of my favourite ways to preserve memories because they tell a story that's far bigger than a single scrapbook page....
